Can I place items on reserve?

To ensure equitable access to key resources, including required textbooks, the Library manages heavily-used material using the “reserve” system.

Reserve items:

• Identified by instructors for the purpose of “on-campus use only”
• Kept securely at the main library desk
• Textbooks and calculators can be borrowed for up to 3 hours
• Other reserve items such as phone chargers and white board markers can be borrowed for 24 hours

If you are an instructor and you want to place textbooks or required readings on reserve, please contact library@norquest.ca or complete this form.

Sourcing, ordering, and processing items for the Reserve Collection can take several weeks. Please submit your request a minimum of three weeks in advance if you would like the material available by a specific date. Reserve requests are accepted year-round.
